To Whom It May Concern: I'm writing this letter in reference to web developer Deborah Smith. Ms. Smith was the developer (and visionary!) for our Mt. Baker Lodging 2nd generation website. In recognizing the importance and impact that the world wide web has on the travel industry, Ms. Smith was commissioned to develop a content-rich site that would provide first-time visitors to our area with a general overview of the Mt. Baker / North Cascades region, as well as clarity and definition of the vacation properties that we represent. Perhaps it could be stated that the single largest challenge was to bundle this information together under a format that even the most novice user could navigate effortlessly. Ms. Smith succeeded flawlessly on all fronts as evidenced by the constant praise that we received from current and potential customers, as well as the many web awards garnered and proudly displayed on our homepage! |
In November of 2002, we were approached by a firm focused solely on the hospitality industry. This firm offered back-end accounting and additional promotional services in conjunction with their own website. Because of the additional support services offered, we (reluctantly) chose to remove the 2nd generation site developed by Ms. Smith. This in no way reflects the caliber of Ms. Smith's work and dedication to customer satisfaction. In fact, Ms. Smith was instrumental in assisting us with the transition, and continues to work with us on a consulting basis. Truly a tribute to a person who places the needs of the customer ahead of her own financial gain!
