Welcome! My name is Deborah Smith and I am the owner and primary designer for Mt. Baker Web Design. I live in Maple Falls, Washington. Maple Falls is a gorgeous area in the foothills of Mt. Baker. We're very close to Bellingham and the Canadian border.

I love the opportunities that have opened to people worldwide because of the Internet. I am a huge fan of creating opportunity for rural areas on the Web.

I love the idea that we can communicate globally and reach audiences we never could before.My passion is to create those opportunities by designing Web sites for small businesses and non-profits.

My area of expertise is creating Web sites that are intuitive for the end user and satisfying to my clients. I know how to do all the whistles and bells that are available for Web sites, but I prefer to design simple-to-maintain and easy-to-use sites for my clients.

I do work with other designers who are skilled in Flash animation and programming, should my clients express a need for these features.

I have worked in creative fields all my life. My latest creative explorations, when I am not designing Web sites, are with polymer clay and lampworked glass beads. I love to write and share information with people. I am an information junkie.

I love working with non-profits and artists. I've done lots of volunteer work with community groups and with agencies providing services for domestic violence survivors.

I share my life with my wonderful husband and two fabulous Border Collies.
